DAAN VILJOEN GAME PARK

This small game park is situated 25 km outside Windhoek along the C28, in the Khomas Hochland hills.  You will find several species of game here, typical of Namibia's highlands: mountain zebra, klipspringer, steenbok, kudu, springbok, blue wildebeest, eland, red hartebeest, ...  More than 200 bird species have been recorded in the park.

Open throughout the year.  Acces from sunrise to sunset.

Daan Viljoen Hiking Trail
Visitors can explore the park on foot.  An unguided but marked walking trail of 32 km can is open to groups of 3-12 persons.  The trail can be walked in 1 or 2 days and reservation beforehand is necessary.  Own water and food must be provided.
Rooibos trail
A walking trail of ± 9 km can be done, without reservation beforehand.
